Robotic Programming & AI

One of the best things kids will learn from the Starton EDU courses is programming & Robotics. Every lesson and experience shared here has a clear focus on coding, learning programming languages and actively using these skills and improving them as you go along. Every project comes with its own share of challenges and children get to learn how to work as a team. Students aged 7 to 13 will get to create easy versions of Alexa and work with AI to understand how it works. Programming is one of the most important skills that your child can learn at this time. And robotics makes it easy to introduce programming to kids, all while keeping things fun and interesting for them. They also get to learn a lot more about AI, not to mention they can experiment with a plethora of great and fun new ideas all the time.

 

It’s a lot easier for kids to get accustomed with coding via an enrichment class like this. The Robotic AI class is all about learning more about artificial intelligence and programming robots to battle enemies in tournaments. It’s a great and engaging way for kids to boost their knowledge, all while bringing in front fun and creative programming challenges that everyone can enjoy.

 

There are 3 different courses included in Robotic programming & AI, such as programming platform practice, robotic programming practice and AI knowledge introduction as well as AI block application. Lastly, kids that enter the enrichment class will get to explore their robotic projects and put them to work to see which one is the best.

Course Description:

Get immediately hands-on with the Robot Set and software, exploring the boundless world of robotics and engineering. Combining intuitive drag-and-drop programming with the possibilities of the coding system, this exploratory experience encourages teamwork, friendship, and creativity from day one.

Robotic AI: Each level for one semester; consisting of three months 
Robots and robotic related programming have been introduced to children's education for a long time, while nowadays artificial intelligence has raised up quickly and quite a lot of fields of research in AI are focusing on the robotics area. To make your children be prepared for the future, our robotic_AI Level 1 class will provide teaching materials of AI trend introduction and machine learning (the most common technique that is used for recent AI projects) application.

 

"Robotic_AI Level 1" would include 3 different courses (Lv.111 -> Lv.112 -> Lv.113), and each course is 1 month (4 weeks). Each course contains four parts as following: 
1. Programming platform (environment) practice 
2. Robotic programming practice 
3. AI knowledge introduction and AI block application on this programming platform 
4. Robotic projects

 

Robotic_AI Level 1 is for students to understand and learn logical thinking and graphics programming. A pre-requisite class "Robotic_Programming Level 1" is encouraged but not enforced, since our class will self-contain so that some graphics programming knowledge will be introduced as well.

LV.1

•Robotic AI Level 1 class will introduce the graphic programming platform to students.

 

It will also provide teaching materials of AI trend and basic knowledge of machine learning (the most common technique that is used for recent AI projects).

 

Intuitive robotic projects will be illustrated and taught as well.

•Robotic_AI Level 2 class contains more practical information for robotic projects. Students will apply the knowledge they got from the previous level to complicated tasks with advanced robots.

​

•Additional sensors and more difficult mathematical skills are going to be used. Students will learn how to use AI graphic blocks for robot control and data analysis.

•Robotic_AI Level 3 class is the first level that students will use text-based programming platform to control the robot. Further applied math knowledge will be learnt for robots' professional actions.

​

•New multifunctional robots like drones and hover boats will be exposed to students. High level students could have more chance to build and manufacture their own robots by learning engineer knowledge.

•From this level, the students have already got enough information for most of the routine projects. Students will be encourage to create life inventions.

•Some machine learning tricks will be used to make the invention more powerful. Students can apply new taught AI methods to solve new problems.

•In level 511 Engineer class, students will be taught to transform existing robots to other forms. Some printing and writing machines will be assembled and run precisely.

​

•There are also some projects like noise detection, light pollution detection, digital arms and magic mirror projects, etc. The last project will be building up your own 3D printer, which is challenging and interesting.

•Basic introduction in deep learning and big data in python and MATLAB. Students will try to write their own code for simple business problems.

•For students who are interested in robots, dynamic control of robots/ drones/ hover-boat using AI method will be explained, and students will have a chance to program on them.
